MARKETING
Marketing education was established at Lanier High School since the doors opened in 2010. In a few short years our program now reaches almost 200 students through marketing and work-based learning opportunities.
Last year we were recognized as an industry certified program of excellence through the American Marketing Association, effective 2013. We would like to send a special thank you to our DECA members, marketing education students, and advisory board members for supporting us in this program.
Our students are actively involved in DECA, an association of marketing students. Our members include over 75 freshmen, sophmores, juniors and seniors. This year we have two students qualified to go to the International Career and Development Conference to represent Lanier High School at this global competition.

Dawn Shiraef
Mrs. Shiraef coaches students with work-ready skills through school opportunities. For the past 10 years she has encouraged students to participate in DECA leadership and marketing projects in the Lanier Cluster. Prior to education, Mrs. Shiraef mentored youth in South Florida and was a purchasing agent in the fashion and healthcare fields.
Mrs. Shiraef continues to motivate students to take initiative and obtain the soft-skills needed to be effective employees in the future.
